A Journey to Holistic Healing: Supporting Women Through Fertility, Pregnancy, and Beyond
Hi, I’m Dr. Alayna Clark, a perinatal chiropractor and advocate for women navigating their journeys into motherhood. My work is deeply personal, shaped by my own experiences with fertility challenges, a traumatic birth, and the emotional ups and downs of postpartum life. Through these experiences, I’ve developed a practice rooted in holistic care—one that empowers women to feel equipped, resourced, and supported as they embrace motherhood.

When I became a chiropractor, I was eager to specialize in pregnancy and pediatric care. I sought out additional training in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic techniques because I felt drawn to helping women and children thrive. But my passion deepened even further when I faced my own fertility challenges.
Despite having what I thought was a "perfect" 28-day cycle, my journey to motherhood was anything but straightforward. Over two years, I wrestled with the frustration and heartbreak of trying to conceive. It was a humbling experience that taught me to look beyond surface-level health and truly address the root causes of imbalance in my body.
When I finally became pregnant, I was overjoyed—but my pregnancy and birth journey came with unexpected challenges. I developed preeclampsia late in pregnancy, which led to a C-section after planning a home birth. It was a traumatic experience, one that opened my eyes to the gaps in care and support that so many women face.

My postpartum experience was equally challenging. I struggled with breastfeeding my daughter, who had a tongue and lip tie, and found myself navigating a world of body tension, feeding challenges, and emotional healing. These struggles inspired me to go deeper in my practice, specializing in advanced pediatric care and working with babies and mothers facing similar issues.
Today, my practice is a reflection of everything I’ve learned. I offer care that goes beyond the basics, providing women and their families with a holistic approach that addresses not only physical health but also emotional and mental well-being.
I’ve made it my mission to ensure no woman feels unprepared or unsupported on her journey into motherhood. My care focuses on the following stages:
Preconception: I help women prepare their bodies for pregnancy, often addressing underlying health issues and optimizing their chances of conceiving naturally.
Pregnancy: My chiropractic care supports physical comfort and alignment, while my educational resources empower women to create a birth team and advocate for their birth plans.
Postpartum: I guide new moms through recovery, from healing their bodies to addressing feeding challenges and emotional well-being.
Newborns: I specialize in working with babies who experience colic, reflux, or feeding difficulties, helping families find relief and enjoy those early bonding moments.
One phrase I hear from women far too often is, “I wish I had known.” That’s why I prioritize education in my practice. From understanding birth options to navigating postpartum recovery, I believe women deserve access to the information and resources they need to feel confident and empowered.
Holistic care is about more than just addressing symptoms—it’s about looking at the whole picture. In my practice, this means recognizing how physical, emotional, and environmental factors all play a role in health and well-being. It’s this comprehensive approach that allows me to help women truly thrive.
Beyond one-on-one care, I’m passionate about building a community where women feel seen, heard, and supported. I see myself as an advocate—a resource for women who want to make informed decisions and feel confident in their choices. Whether it’s connecting them with a doula, recommending childbirth education classes, or simply being a listening ear, I strive to be the support system I wish I had during my own journey.
Sharing my story is both vulnerable and empowering. It’s a reminder of why I do what I do: to help women feel supported, informed, and equipped for their unique journeys into motherhood.
